the staff of life

I consider myself now a Masterchef. I've always been a foodie. I remember trying out new recipes with my grandma and mum, but don't fool yourself, I was only a help. Then I moved to PoznaƄ, could eat the same pasta 3 days in a row or eat mostly sandwitches. I lived in the apartments without oven so I couldn't bake anything. For 2 years I've been living with a kitchen that has approx. 5m2. And here I am now. Trapped in my home with a hungry man to feed. Obvs, he can prepare some signature dishes such as oven baked salmon or pasta with spinach. Recently I surprise myself with all of the kinds of yeast cakes. I made kopytka and leniwe for the first time. I did pulled pork twice! But the creme de la creme was a sourdough bread, the real one, it took me a week and a lot of swears.

I love being in a kitchen. I used to work as a support staff on summer camp in NYC, no one like me could cut the veggies :) There were hundreds of the kiddos who were eating what I've prepared; it is very satysfying. As a waitress I spend most of the time in the kitchen because of that vibe.

I've posted a recipes for a Korean coffee, banana bread and falafels before, check it out! :)
