Some of you
are already tired of me posting about the board games. That’s the last part of
it (for now! hahah), I promise.
1 1. SuperFarmer ($12)
Superfarmer
is a game that was created in Warsaw in 1943. At that time it was entitled
"Animal breeding". Its author is an outstanding Polish mathematician,
Professor Karol Borsuk. You are a farmer, you breed animals. Your herd is still
growing. But you have to be careful! A fox and wolf are prowling in the area. Your
animals are breeding, and it's profitable. You can exchange animals for others
if you think it pays off. To win, you must be the first who get a herd of at
least a horse, a cow, a pig, a sheep and a rabbit.
Ideal for 2-4 players
2. Sen ($10)
What are the rules? We start by drawing 4 cards and - without looking -
placing them face down in front of us. Then choose 2 cards, look at them,
remember how many crows there were and play. There can be 0 to 9 crows: the
less the better. The main problem is that players don't even know all their
cards, let alone opponents' cards - so it's not enough that we have to remember
our cards, we also have to at least pay attention to the opponent’s collection.
The round ends or when a player decides that he has the least crow in his sleep
and says "Wake up!" or if the stack of draw cards runs out.
Perfect for 3 players
3. Halli Galli ($11)
Each player turns the card from his collection in turn. The moment the
face up cards show exactly 5 fruits of the same kind (strawberries, limes,
bananas, plum), the first player to ring the bell wins all face up cards. Be
careful not to make mistakes! If a player rings the bell by mistake, and the
revealed cards do not show exactly 5 fruits of the same type, he must give away
to everyone from other players one card from your face-down deck. The goal of
the game is to get the most cards. The game is great for learning how to count
quickly by younger children and develops perceptiveness and reflexes!
It can be played by 2ppl (not as much fun), the more the better
