The soundtrack of my life

Ladies and gentlemen! May I present to you the ultimate soundtrack of my life! If you are my neigbour, you know them by heart!

If I was forced to choose my favourite song of all time it would be this one. Top of the top. For some reason, the second I hear this song it calms me down immediately. This is pure magic.

I just love every single song made by Glass Animals. PERIOD.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E5iezedSefI The Maccabees - Something like happiness

Such a shame this band no longer exist. I was lucky enough to go to their concert a year before the break up. The lyrics is quite cliché but the simplicity wins in this case. When I struggle I listen to the words: You just know, when you know. Then everything clears up. The same happens with: If it's over.Let it be over. When the lines: If you love them/ Go and tell them/ Tell them over and over and over again/ Heaven forbid opportunities missed, comes up I think about my loved ones.

If you claim that you were at a party with me and there was no Africa in the background then apparently you’re lying. A party without Toto is not a good party. It's 14 years older than me but it doesn't change a thing though. Some of the song are eternal and this is a perfect example of it!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=prGptG5Ex1g Foals - Spanish Sahara
Foals is one of the best bands ever. They provide outrageously good shows full of energy and jumping. Never fails. The Spanish Sahara is one of the most soothing songs they’ve got. It reminds me of the colors of Spain, my second home.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KlmSqyMT0FQ White Lies - Farewell to the Fairground
Whenever I'm far away from home I get homesick quite easily and I miss my family. On my way back I listen to this song and sing with Harry McVeigh: keep on running, there's no place like home.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nOubjLM9Cbc Michael Kiwanuka - Cold Little Heart
The song from the intro of Big Little Lies. Never skipped it. What is more, played thousand times on purpose, not only to watch a series.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zceHYnOj8V4 C.Tangana & Dellafuente - Guerrera
When I feel down, when I start to feel doubtful and weak I listen to the song of two of my favourite Spanish rappers. C. Tangana is my crush and Dellafuente knows what he's doing. The title is translated into: A warrior. No wonder why I listen to in constantly before the oral exams.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VEpMj-tqixs Daughter - Youth
oh, so high school.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kp7eSUU9oy8 Childish Gambino - Redbone
When I've heard it for the first time I was 100% sure it was girl singing. I couldn't be more wrong. Donald Glover is an amazing raper, actor and producer. He is resposible for a great tv series Atlanta. As a singer famously known for This is America. Nevertheless, Redbone stole my heart from the very beginning. You can hear the suffering coming though it.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Euj9f3gdyM  Arcade Fire - the suburbs
I just love the melody of it, the lyrics and the video is only an awesome addition. Arcade Fire's Afterlife also blows my mind frequently.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kimPUWSwxIs  The Kasabian - Psycho
It got me from the very beginning. Funny and catchy!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_oM1DFL43Lk Sampha - Blood on me
One of the most looped songs. I can listen it 879 times in a row. I'm in a vibe when it plays.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WbN0nX61rIs Florence and the Machine - Shake it out Florence is a queen. She proves it during her shows. The way she moves, speaks and sings is out of this world.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tvTRZJ-4EyI Kendrick Lamar - Humble
be humble. never forget about it. plus, Kendrick is a genius!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rVeMiVU77wo AltJ - Breezeblocks
When I was a rebelious teenager I used to listed to it everyday. Before that there was heavy metal, my parents thought that getting into rock was a wise choice.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-QKj62RKBrM Bombay Bicycle Club - Always like this The song that I've been listening to on a loop before my driving exam.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dcxu1LSm51w Foster the People - Are you what you want to be? Once in a few months I search for this song to answer myself the question from the title. Is this the life I want to have? Is there anything I could change or improve? It helps me to get to know me and ask myself some philosophical questions. Pretty fun excuse to do so.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iV5VKdcQOJE Arctic Monkeys - 505
An ideal song for autumn vibes. A blanket, a cocoa, a fireplace and 505.

As I mentioned before, Linkin Park's concert was my first. I've got a great sentiment for it. I remember that before my oral matura exam my father played it in a car. He couldn't be more supportive.
