the hypnosis

Let’s get it started, shall we?

Once when I was a baby girl my hilarious father predict the future calling me an unique nickname: “TV”. Obvs, it wasn’t out of blue; he had some good reasons to do so; cause all of it was based on my behavior. As a kiddo I was hypnotized by colorful cartoons trapped in an old school television. Till now, I can’t get over it. Long story short, being a bingewatcher was my destiny, I couldn’t help it.

The world of the series is a huge part of my life; I won’t deny it. TV Shows, the app that I visit more frequently than Facebook and Instagram put together, assures me that I’ve spend over 3 months watching series and stand-ups. The amount of time dedicated to following the plot twists created by various screenwriters would be even more staggering if I wasn’t too picky. I am well know for my good taste when it comes to the series. For me, it’s not, and never was, a way of handling the boredom. Just contrary, I’m extremely excited about every new episode of my favs series. Mostly they’re products of American producers, but the range of my interest combines British, Polish, Swedish, Spanish and Mexican gems. Therefore, I’m the best adviser for those of my friends who are lost and in need. They’re all seeking the help and I’m their savior. Normally, I ask them many detailed questions so my recommendations would be as personalized as it can be. It’s always a perfect match. No complaints. No wonder, it isn't any random suggestion given by someone unprofessional…

Jokes aside, isolating yourself and “coping” with your procrastination by staring at your laptop by nights isn’t any solution. Some people might criticize the way of spending my free time. The others don’t. Fortunately, I found myself another couch potato, the lucky owner of a huge plasma, who shares the same addiction passion as me. Now, we consume the series together which, without a doubt, has its pros and cons. He’s got his style of watching series, I got mine. Our preferences vary. He prefers the longer ones, I don’t.  I find mumblecore fascinating, he just doesn’t get it. Sometimes he fall asleep, sometimes I’m reading sth out loud which annoys him. That’s why we’ve got some “alone series” and the ones that we have in common. Spoiling and watching an episode first without waiting for you bae may result in a silent treatment and divorce, even though we’re not married. Totally, not worth it.

Besides all of that I’m a sucker for the movies, music and podcasts. That’s what you’re going to find if you follow this blog. I truly hope that reading it will be as pleasurable for you as making it for me.
